Why is the boat named SY Segwun

On August 1st, 2010 Jens and I were married aboard the RMS Segwun which is the oldest operating steamship in North America.  We sailed from Gravenhurst in to Port Carling with sixty or so of our close friends and family.   We were curious about the word Segwun and discovered it is the Obijwa word for  springtime.  We liked it so much that we decided it was a fitting name for our Sailing Yacht.  Sailing Yacht Segwun will set sail from Maryland in November.  The first journey under her new name.  We will be taking her to Florida before the cold weather hits in Maryland.  Then we'll spend December getting the last minute things ready for our sailing date of January 2nd.  I hope you plan to follow us along the way.  I'll try to post interesting pictures and stories.
