Around the Southern Tip

February 14, 2014

We have just reached the most Southern point on the earth that we have ever been.  It has the dullest of names and the ugliest of lighthouses.  Here we are at Slope Point, the southern most point of New Zealand's South Island.    It is a grey, windy day.  And by the looks of the trees I doubt the wind ever stops blowing.
