I'll give you a few hints... He lives in Panama - is known for his passion for go-karting and race car driving (in fact, I think almost anything with wheels). He talks with love and admiration about his two gorgeous daughters and his beautiful wife. I've known him since 1984 and we both swear that we look exactly the same as we did back then! Don't we?
If you haven't guessed it by now, it is our Panama host, Fredrik, relaxing with a book on the beach. He was able to join us for a couple of days in Bocas del Toro this weekend. It was so nice to initiate him as a full-fledged crew member of SY SEGWUN (even if he didn't remember to bring his t-shirt). We sailed out of the anchorage at Bocas Town on Saturday morning with soft winds that propelled us a speedy 3.5 knots to our next destination. We spent the day trekking across Bastimento Island to a beautiful secluded beach with a fantastic surf and back again where we had a really nice lunch of fresh snapper before heading back to the boat for our sundowners of Pina Colada's. We finished the evening with a couple of nice bottles of red and some nachos. Such a good day!
Fredrik promises to come back next weekend (wearing the proper attire). :-)
